After a string of five wins, the Oklahoma School for the Deaf Bison's's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Texas School for the Deaf. Oklahoma School for the Deaf has not had much luck with Texas School for the Deaf recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Several Bison players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was RyJan Reininger, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Reininger scored a full 48.5% of Oklahoma School for the Deaf's points, the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Russell Fewel, who scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Texas School for the Deaf, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf's road trip will continue as they head out to face Louisiana School for the Deaf at 9:30 a.m. on December 9th. Louisiana School for the Deaf is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Texas School for the Deaf, they will take on Arkansas School for the Deaf at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
