Atlantic is 2-7 against Royal Palm Beach since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Atlantic Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Atlantic has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Atlantic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Glades Day on Friday as Atlantic made off with a 24-13 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.

Thomas Krolikowski made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. In other batting news, Atlantic let Michael Bird and Rouss Doverno run wild. Bird scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances, while Doverno scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Nicholas Capizola was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI.
Atlantic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .620. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Royal Palm Beach waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Knights.
Ramon Deleon made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Royal Palm Beach's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-8 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Robert Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Royal Palm Beach: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-7 otherwise. Miguelangel Guzman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
The win snapped Atlantic's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record. As for Royal Palm Beach, their record now sits at 7-8.
Royal Palm Beach's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Atlantic has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .457. It's a different story for Royal Palm Beach, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain Atlantic's hitters?
Atlantic suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Royal Palm Beach in their previous matchup back in February. Can Atlantic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
