This season hasn't been kind to the Lincoln West Wolverines, who are still winless after their eighth match. They were outmatched by East Tech at home and fell 77-42. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lincoln West in their matchups with East Tech: they've now lost six in a row.
East Tech got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Simon out in front who scored 17 points along with seven steals. Simon is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of George Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Lincoln West's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for East Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln West will take on Campus International at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Campus International comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for East Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against John F. Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. John F. Kennedy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully East Tech likes a good challenge.
