Midlothian Heritage is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let University get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Jaguars have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cayden Campbell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.
In other pitching news, Midlothian Heritage got a great performance from Gavin Railsback as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Railsback a new career-high.
Back at the plate, Midlothian Heritage let Trent Pace and Carter Rutenbar run wild. Pace got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Rutenbar went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three stolen bases gave Pace a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Morgan Cunningham, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Midlothian Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Poteet sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Hillcrest on Saturday.
Midlothian Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Poteet, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-14-2 record this season.
