Cesar E. Chavez is a perfect 3-0 against Houston Math Science & Tech since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 8:00 p.m. Cesar E. Chavez's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Houston Math Science & Tech's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Cesar E. Chavez will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Bellaire, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Cesar E. Chavez had just enough and edged out Bellaire 3-2 last Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lobos.

Ava Castillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Cesar E. Chavez saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Penelope Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Jazlyn Eguiluz also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Houston Math Science & Tech came up short against Wisdom last Friday, falling 25-5. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Houston Math Science & Tech's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Cesar E. Chavez has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Houston Math Science & Tech, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Cesar E. Chavez keep running through batters, or will Houston Math Science & Tech buck the trend?

Cesar E. Chavez skirted past Houston Math Science & Tech 9-8 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cesar E. Chavez since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
