The Kelliher/Northome Mustangs stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Chisholm 76-54. The win was nothing new for Kelliher/Northome as they're now sitting on four straight.
Leading Kelliher/Northome to victory were Kylee Binkley and Kate Thayer. Binkley dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds, while Thayer scored 30 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Thayer is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Thayer, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Kelliher/Northome pushed their record up to 14-2 with that win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.57 points. As for Chisholm, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kelliher/Northome and Fosston will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fosston will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Chisholm, Chisholm and Cromwell will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
