Soquel has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Christopher Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Soquel can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. Everything went their way against Monterey as Soquel made off with a 22-0 victory.
Among those leading the charge was Justice Grauel tebong, who rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Tyreis Lundy and his 97 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Soquel's victory.
Menlo School typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday Christopher proved too difficult a challenge. Christopher snuck past Menlo School with a 21-17 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Christopher.
Christopher relied on the efforts of Amari Bluford, who picked up 198 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Jaxen Robinson, who threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Bluford's longest reception was for an incredible 79 yards.
Soquel pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 10-1 Carmel (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.6% over those games). As for Christopher, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
