Parish Episcopal is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 49-14 victory over Concordia Lutheran. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Crusaders are ranked 316th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Parish Episcopal got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marcus Hanish out in front who rushed for 131 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards and one score. Hanish's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Jaylen Pile did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 149 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Parish Episcopal was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in nine consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Prestonwood Christian on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Legacy Christian Academy a 44-0 shutout. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lions had established a 37-point advantage.
Parish Episcopal better keep an eye on William Taylor. He was instrumental in Prestonwood Christian's win, rushing for 205 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Taylor also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Lions are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Luke Glass, who rushed for 55 yards and a pair of scores.
Parish Episcopal pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.7 points over those games. As for Prestonwood Christian, their record now sits at 7-4.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Hanish and Taylor. Hanish just won't slow down this season and has run in 18 touchdowns while averaging 123.3 rushing yards per game. Taylor has been a dominant force too and has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 151.1 rushing yards per game.
