The Centennial Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 72-68 victory over Kell. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Centennial's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Diamond Leslie, who scored 29 points. Leslie continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Perez, who scored 23 points.
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Kell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Centennial will square off against Greater Atlanta Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cambridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
