McKenzie can attribute much of their success to Quay Jackson, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and Ayden Willsey, who gained 126 total yards and three touchdowns. Skylar Sanders did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 104 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Shields was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Leroy on the road and fell 55-0. McKenzie's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Shields, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
