After flying high against the White Station Spartans on Saturday, the Briarcrest Christian Saints came back down to earth. Briarcrest Christian ended up on the wrong side of a rough 64-40 walloping at the hands of Marion on Tuesday. Briarcrest Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Marion apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Despite the loss, Briarcrest Christian still got an impressive performance from Madeleine Lowrance, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Hallie Turner, who scored 6 points along with 5 assists.
Briarcrest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Marion, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Briarcrest Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Collierville at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. As for Marion, they will take on Hot Springs on Thursday.
