After flying high against the Clark County Bobcats on Saturday, the Leadore Mustangs came back down to earth. Leadore took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sho-Ban on Tuesday. Leadore was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sho-Ban apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Leadore's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Ayers, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Ayers continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Herbst, who scored 8 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds.
Leadore's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sho-Ban, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leadore won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Salmon at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Sho-Ban, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alturas Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Alturas Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Thursday.
