The Glencoe Crimson Tide will take on the Century Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Glencoe will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Glencoe is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Forest Grove a 14-0 shutout on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Crimson Tide in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.
Lucas Culbertson was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other pitching news, Connor Anderson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Glencoe: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Nathan Huntley, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Schmidt, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Glencoe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Century had taken Sherwood down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Jaguars lost 12-2 to the Bowmen. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Century saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damien Elizarraras, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Glencoe pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Century, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Glencoe couldn't quite get it done against Century in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 14-9. Can the Crimson Tide avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
