Neshoba Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 23 points or more this season. They breezed by Noxubee County on the road to the tune of 71-8. With Neshoba Central ahead 53-2 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Neshoba Central's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kyli Truss, who scored 15 points, and Erica Lyons, who scored 16 points. A'tyia Allen was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Columbus was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 41-37 to Starkville. Neshoba Central's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Neshoba Central took their win against Columbus in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 63-40. With Neshoba Central ahead 37-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
