Otis' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mitchell Stivers, who scored 16 points. Stivers continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Packer, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Otis were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stratton only posted six assists.
Stratton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Otis, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.
Stratton is on the road again on Thursday and plays Flatirons Academy at 5:30 p.m. on March 7th. One thing working in Stratton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games. Otis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
