Basketball Recap: Ambassador Piles Up the Points Against Baldwin Park

Ambassador picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Baldwin Park Braves 91-37. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season.

Ambassador's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Desta led the charge by putting up 32 points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Lee, who posted 21 points.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rafael Godinez, who earned ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Rojas, who had ten points.

Ambassador has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.6 points per game. As for Baldwin Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Ambassador will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Animo City of Champions at 2:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Baldwin Park, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-34 loss against Nogales on the 7th.
