Northwood moved up to 510 from 545 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Pacific Coast. The Timberwolves climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Corona del Mar 51-14.
The Sea Kings led the league in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on Northwood. Kai Wilson ran for 136 yards and caught one passes for 13 yards in the win.
Beckman's dynamic duo of Quinn O'Dell and Nick White proved tough for Woodbridge to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. O'Dell threw for 230 yards and one touchdown and White had 187 yards receiving. Alec Beggs helped Beckman's passing attack out by catching three balls for 57 yards.
Austin DeFreitas was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 213 yards on 35 carries as the Warriors lost to the Warriors. Tyler Noble also contributed to the rushing game with 62 yards on the ground.
6-foot-1 quarterback Cayman Carter of Corona del Mar is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1040. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, Woodbridge's DeFreitas has rushed for 1239 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is White. The Beckman star has 24 catches for 421 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Corona del Mar takes on second place Irvine. Last week, Scott Meyer's team bested Rick Curtis' team, while Irvine defeated University.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Sea Kings take on the Vaqueros. Corona del Mar has allowed 137 points this season, while Irvine has given up 114. The Sea Kings allowed 14 points last week as they beat the Timberwolves.
Northwood made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,760 from 7,178. The improvement was the result of 51-14 victory over the Timberwolves last week.
