The Kouts Mustangs & Fillies won the last time they faced the DeMotte Christian Knights, and things went their way on Friday too. Kouts walked away with a 44-34 win over DeMotte Christian.
When it comes to explaining why DeMotte Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luke Terpstra. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds. Terpstra scored a full 41.2% of DeMotte Christian's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Tony Bos was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 7 rebounds.
Kouts' win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for DeMotte Christian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kouts won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kankakee Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Kankakee Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Saturday. As for DeMotte Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against North Newton at 7:00 p.m. on December 9th.
