The Anderson Raptors lost against the Harrison Wildcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Anderson took a 55-36 bruising from Harrison. While losing is never fun, Anderson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 541st, while Harrison is ranked 102nd).
Harrison was led to victory by Shelby Piepmeier and Alli Robertson. Piepmeier scored 15 points, while Robertson scored 17 points. Robertson is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Smith, who scored eight points.
Anderson's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-13. As for Harrison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anderson will take on Kings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harrison, they will be playing at home against Ross at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
