The Hillcrest Jaguars can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Robertsdale 63-39. The win was familiar territory for Hillcrest who now have six in a row.
Hillcrest found their leader in underclassman J.T. Barlow, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barlow has scored all season. Jermonte Stallworth was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Robertsdale's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kole Singler, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Williams, who scored six points along with five steals.
Hillcrest is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Robertsdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.
Hillcrest will be playing at home against Thomasville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thomasville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Hillcrest is ranked 60th). As for Robertsdale, they will head out on the road to face off against McGill-Toolen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McGill-Toolen will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
