If Auburndale was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Davenport last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bloodhounds lost 8-2 to the Ridge Community Bolts on Thursday. The Bloodhounds' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Auburndale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Monroe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Auburndale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Ridge Community, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-11.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Auburndale will face off against Gateway at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bloodhounds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Ridge Community, they will take on Haines City at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
