Eli Poteet Delivers Best Effort of Season
Eli Poteet produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Augusta Eagles to the win on Friday. Poteet rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. His longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards.
If the past is any indication, Poteet could be in store for another big game when he takes on Victory Christian on Friday. Poteet rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns the last time he and Victory Christian duked it out back in October of 2023.

Coastal HomeSchool was led to victory by Colin Wood, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Wood threw for 277 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. What's more, he also racked up 15 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in October of 2023.
This season, Wood has thrown 26 touchdowns while averaging 207.1 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 51.6 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 115.23 passer rating.
