Weaver's game  last Monday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They blew past the Faith Christian Lions 14-4. The Bearcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Tracen Jones and  Connor Hyatt were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound,  Jones   struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. Meanwhile,  Hyatt   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At the plate,  Jones  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while  Hyatt  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI. Jones also  got three  hits, marking his first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Hayden Hise was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.  Cael Fulmer was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Weaver  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .675. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Weaver's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Faith Christian, their defeat was  their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as  the Bearcats  face off against  the Tigers at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Faith Christian, they will square off against Saks at 5:00  p.m.  on March 4th.
