Hampton is 0-10 against the Wolfpack since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hampton Hornets will look to defend their home court against the Woodland Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hampton can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They slipped by Stockbridge 48-47.
Meanwhile, even though Mt. Zion scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, Woodland still came out on top. Woodland walked away with a 73-65 victory over the Bulldogs. The win was just what Woodland needed coming off of a 70-40 defeat in their prior game.
Hampton's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-17. As for Woodland, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Hampton came up short against the Wolfpack when the teams last played back in January, falling 51-41. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Woodland's Mason Lewis, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Now that Hampton knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
