The Lexington Yellowjackets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 58-13 victory over Walkertown. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Lexington as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Lexington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayla Cowan out in front who scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for Cowan. Lily Ervin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Lexington's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Walkertown, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lexington will be home for the holidays to greet East Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Walkertown will be home for the holidays to greet West Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Stokes comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
