The Marquette Redmen will take on the Wright Red Devils at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
On Monday, Marquette got the win against Superior Central by a conclusive 12-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redmen.
Alex Brennan looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Marquette let Wes Robinson and Desmond Gleason run wild. Robinson got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Gleason got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Robinson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Geller, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five contest, Wright brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against Northwood on Monday as they made off with a 10-4 win. The Red Devils not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 20, 2025 (when they won 15-8).
Ethan Gallo was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Gallo was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Parker Osterman was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Brendan McCullough was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Wright lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Marquette now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wright, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Wright's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Marquette has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. It's a different story for Wright, though, as they've only averaged .275.
