The New Community School Sabers can finally bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Everything went their way against Summit Christian Academy as The New Community School made off with a 52-27 win. The New Community School's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Summit Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Asher Crowder, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Miller, who scored five points along with six rebounds and five blocks.
The New Community School's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Summit Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-19 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
The New Community School will be playing in front of their home fans against Grove Christian School at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Summit Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-38 defeat vs. Williamsburg Christian Academy on the 9th.
