King had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 71-point drubbing they dealt Hubbard on Thursday. The King Jaguars claimed a resounding 83-12 victory over the Hubbard Greyhounds. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 40 points or more this season.

Amir Brown was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 4-for-6 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine steals. Another player making a difference was Corey Wellere, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

King was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

King now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Hubbard, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

King didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-48 win against Bogan on the 11th. As for Hubbard, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dunbar at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Dunbar knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Hubbard likes a good challenge.
