The Amite Warriors will be playing at home against the Donaldsonville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Amite came up short against Sumner and fell 14-6. Amite has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Donaldsonville pushed their score all the way to 42 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 68-42 loss to Erath might stick with them for a while.
Donaldsonville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Blake Turner, who rushed for 30 yards and two touchdowns, and Raiyen Oatis who picked up 138 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Donald Brown was another key contributor, throwing for seven yards and a touchdown.
Amite's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Donaldsonville, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
