After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Idalou, Compass Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Crane Cranes by a score of 13-6. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 22-3 victory the Cranes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.
A big part of Compass Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Kasen Smart and his top target Braxton Morris. Smart rushed for 79 yards and one TD while Morris picked up 101 receiving yards and one touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Compass Academy's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Keegan Walker and Jacob Bartlett, who racked up five sacks between them.
