The Uniondale Knights fell victim to the Freeport Red Devils''s stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Red Devils 27-0. Uniondale has struggled against Freeport recently, as their game on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Uniondale now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Freeport, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Uniondale will square off against Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK on Saturday. Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Freeport, they will head out on the road to face off against Roosevelt at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Roosevelt is ranked 173rd, while Freeport is ranked 163rd).
