On Monday, Louisa County suffered a tough 70-44 loss at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Louisa County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Eagles are ranked 106th).
Meanwhile, Western Albemarle can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They breezed by Goochland on the road to the tune of 59-2. While fans of Western Albemarle might be used to big wins, the 57-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Louisa County's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Western Albemarle, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Louisa County suffered a grim 69-44 defeat to the Warriors in their previous meeting back in January. Can Louisa County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
