Ellsworth has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 28 points or more this season.
Foxcroft Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Allie Smith and Addison Conklin. Smith scored six points along with 11 rebounds, while Conklin scored three points.
Ellsworth pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.9 points per game. As for Foxcroft Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Ellsworth will be playing in front of their home fans against Old Town at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maine (Old Town is ranked seventh, while Ellsworth is ranked first). Foxcroft Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Caribou at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th. Caribou is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
