Willcox not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over the Patagonia Lobos. The win was some much needed relief for the Cowboys as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Randy Hill looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Jahyir Reyes was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those hits were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Morales, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Willcox hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Patagonia struck out 13 times.

Willcox's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for Patagonia, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Willcox will look to defend their home field on Friday against Desert Christian at 3:45 p.m. As for Patagonia, they will head out on the road to challenge Baboquivari at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
