Basketball Recap: Cripple Creek-Victor's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Cripple Creek-Victor had lost seven straight headed into Tuesday's matchup, but Dylan Reyes didn't let it get to eight. The Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 65-17 victory over the Colorado School for the Deaf Blind Bulldogs thanks in part to Reyes, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Reyes, who posted seven points along with five assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Cripple Creek-Victor's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Colorado School for the Deaf Blind, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cripple Creek-Victor will venture away from home to face off against Deer Trail at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cripple Creek-Victor is facing Deer Trail at the right time seeing as Deer Trail is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Colorado School for the Deaf Blind, they will head out to square off against Hanover at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th.
