The Beth Haven Bearcats can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They blew past Christian Educational Consortium 83-59. Given Beth Haven's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Christian Educational Consortium is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Levi Langley was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was DaMontez Malone, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, Christian Educational Consortium still got an impressive performance from Nathan Johnson, who scored 21 points. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Deven Moore, who scored 12 points.
Beth Haven has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Christian Educational Consortium, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beth Haven will take on Atherton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Educational Consortium won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ballard at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. One thing working in Ballard's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
