On Thursday, Coyle rang in the new year with a 44-35 victory over Verden.
Coyle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashlee Kelley led the charge by scoring seven points along with 18 rebounds. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Long, who scored 14 points.
Coyle pushed their record up to 5-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Verden, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
