The Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. Their rough 70-47 loss to Gananda Central might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Clyde-Savannah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 749th, while Gananda Central is ranked 364th).
Miles Caviness was his usual excellent self, scoring 39 points for Gananda Central. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Caviness has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Switzer, who scored nine points.
Clyde-Savannah's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Gananda Central, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clyde-Savannah will take on Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marion comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Gananda Central, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Sodus at 7:00 p.m. Sodus has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
