Granite Hills' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andre Dankha, who shot 44% from the field on his way to 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The contest was Dankha's tenth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jasen Hughes, who went 9-for-17 en route to 20 points and six boards.
Del Lago Academy pushed their record up to 17-14 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Granite Hills, they moved to 18-11 with that loss, which also ended their 13-game winning streak.
Del Lago Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-49 defeat against Tri-City Christian on the 27th. Granite Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
