Lumen Christi's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amara Warren, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Warren is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Brown, who scored 11 points.
King Cove's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Lumen Christi, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
King Cove will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Susitna Valley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. As for Lumen Christi, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Eagles/Lady Eagles at 6:00 p.m.
