Renaissance Academy extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 3-6. They came up short against the Bristol Warriors, falling 15-5. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Aiden Keyes was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Renaissance Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). Thomas Mastrangelo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Bristol, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games.
On Bristol's side, Eddie Diaz and Hayden Scancella made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Diaz tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Scancella struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Diaz has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Diaz went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Scancella got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Diaz a new career-high.
In other batting news, Joey Ortiz was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Cole Guy, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Renaissance Academy will square off against Delaware County Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bristol, they will face off against Jenkintown at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Drakes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.42 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
