The Riverside Prep Silver Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy 90-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Raoul Churchill, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 34 points and nine assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Churchill has scored at least a third of Riverside Prep's points. Marrion Brown was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Riverside Prep's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-15. As for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside Prep will face off against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Big Bear's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 matchups. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Hesperia Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Tuesday.
