The Coolidge Bears waltzed into their contest Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They breezed by Show Low at home to the tune of 78-37. Considering Coolidge has won five contests by more than 24 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Ja'kwan Jordan, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jacob Bojorquez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Show Low lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Thomas Ellsworth, who scored six points. Another player making a difference was Nash Brewer , who scored five points.
Coolidge's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Show Low, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Coolidge will be playing in front of their home fans against Pueblo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pueblo is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Show Low, they will head out on the road to face off against Crismon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Crismon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
