The Carolina M Mustangs stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Emerson Waldorf at home to the tune of 54-22. The victory was just what Carolina M needed coming off of a 60-37 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carolina M to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abigail Faison, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Catie Alexander, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Carolina M pushed their record up to 11-5 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Emerson Waldorf, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Carolina M will head out on the road to face off against Chatham HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Emerson Waldorf, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cristo Rey Research Triangle at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey Research Triangle comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
