The Milan Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against KIPP Legacy, falling 70-32. While losing is never fun, Milan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 444th, while KIPP Legacy is ranked 55th).
Milan lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keaton Weter, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Anthony Bolden, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for KIPP Legacy, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Milan will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Shelby at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for KIPP Legacy, they will be playing at home against Barstow at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
