The Northridge Grizzlies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Skyline Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northridge is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
Northridge suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Riverdale Ridge 85-46. While losing is never fun, Northridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Riverdale Ridge is ranked 24th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Lincoln Lyons, who scored 15 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Walker, who scored nine points along with three blocks and two steals.
Meanwhile, Skyline scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They put the hurt on Fort Morgan with a sharp 85-59 victory. That looming 85-59 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Skyline yet this season.
Northridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Skyline, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.
Everything came up roses for Northridge against Skyline in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 72-40 victory. With Northridge ahead 40-18 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
