In what's become a running theme this season, the University Prep Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Central Valley 79-26 at home. Given University Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 444th, while Central Valley is ranked 1325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Devin Huegel, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Scott Steffan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
University Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Central Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
