Foley won the last time they faced St. Luke's Episcopal and things went their way on Thursday too. The Foley Lions were the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over the St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats. Considering the Lions have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Austin Heiden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Foley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Glass, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Cooper Watkins was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Foley and bumps their season record up to 12-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Coming up, Foley will challenge Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, a feisty cat fight will be fought as St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats duke it out with Murphy Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
