After a string of three wins, the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-37 walloping at the hands of Hesperia Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Academy of Careers & Exploration has suffered since December 5, 2023.
Arlan Koester was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds for Hesperia Christian. Koester is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Noah Griffin was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Academy of Careers & Exploration's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Hesperia Christian, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy of Careers & Exploration will face off against Victor Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hesperia Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Riverside Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
