Two dominant backs in Juelz Johnson and DaZarie Carson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Farrell Steelers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Cathedral Prep Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. Farrell's defense has only allowed 9.6 points per game this season, so Cathedral Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Farrell is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 74-0 victory over Reynolds. The Steelers have beaten the Raiders the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Raiders has come to flipping the script.
AAron Pegues continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 205 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 52 yards and one score on only five carries. Gavin Petitford was another key player, rushing for 32 yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Farrell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 344 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Farrell's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. Rhashaud Dunbar was especially locked on to Reynolds' QB and sacked him 2.5 times. Dunbar has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played. Jason Marshall II was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a hard 28-14 fall against General McLane.
Farrell's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Cathedral Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Farrell has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 230.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Cathedral Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 179.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Farrell couldn't quite get it done against Cathedral Prep when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 7-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Ramblers' Ramir Wallace, who rushed for 115 yards on only seven carries. Now that the Steelers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
